Your A1C Test will provide a Test Report with your HbA1c levels for you to discuss with your Health Care Provider. The Report will establish if you may have prediabetes and have a higher risk of developing Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease. The results of your initial A1C test will also help to establish your baseline A1C level.
The A1C test may then be repeated on a regular basis for you to monitor to establish a treatment plan with your Health Care Provider. How often you need the A1C test depends on your treatment plan prescribed by your Provider and how well you're managing your Blood Sugar. You may need more frequent A1C tests if your Doctor changes your treatment plan or you begin taking new medications.
